Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using GoSkills ("the Platform"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, please do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

GoSkills is an online learning platform that connects students with instructors offering courses in various skills and subjects. The Platform enables:

• Students to enroll in and access educational courses
• Instructors to create, publish, and monetize their courses
• Organizations to provide training to their members

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of the Platform, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
• Be responsible for all activities under your account

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Upload harmful code or malicious software
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Share your account credentials with others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform

5. Instructor Terms

If you are an instructor on GoSkills, you additionally agree to:

• Own or have the rights to the content you upload
• Ensure your courses meet quality standards
• Respond to student questions in a timely manner
• Comply with our revenue sharing model (70% to instructors, 30% platform fee)
• Not share course content outside the platform

6. Payment and Refunds

For Students:

• All course fees are displayed in Rwandan Francs (RWF)
• Payment is required before accessing paid courses
• Refund requests must be made within 7 days of purchase
• No refunds after 30% course completion

For Instructors:

• Minimum withdrawal amount: 10,000 RWF
• Payments processed within 7-14 business days
• Platform retains 30% of course revenue

7. Intellectual Property

All content on GoSkills, including courses, text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of GoSkills or its content creators and is protected by intellectual property laws.

When you upload content as an instructor, you retain ownership but grant GoSkills a license to display, distribute, and promote your content on the Platform.

8. Content Moderation

GoSkills reserves the right to review, modify, or remove any content that violates these terms or is deemed inappropriate. We may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate our policies.

9. Limitation of Liability

GoSkills is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

• Accuracy or quality of course content
• Technical issues or service interruptions
• Disputes between users
• Loss of data or revenue

10. Privacy

Your use of GoSkills is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or platform notification. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Service or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Rwanda, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
